The WOW Barn

In May 2023 as part of Leeds 2023 year of Culture I worked with WOW (Women of the World foundation) to design and produce the visual identity for a Barn and festival site on Hyde Park Cinder Moor.

 

For this project I did months of community engagement activities and accumulated in the creation of 300 unique wooden tiles representing the women and girls involved in the barn raising. I also created 3D arch to enter the site through and various other festival site decor and visuals to bring positivity and joy to the site.

The Barn was raised in 24 hours with 300 women, girls and non binary people and then followed with a 3 week long festival which celebrates everything that women, girls and non-binary people do, and takes a frank look at what prevents them from achieving their potential.
